Green development is gaining momentum


Since the beginning of this year, China’s renewable energy development has further shifted gears, accelerating the replacement of fossil energy on the basis of establishing first and then breaking down, providing strong momentum for China’s green development.Just after the Spring Festival, one renewable energy project, the construction of large projects began to accelerate mode.In Guazhou, Jiuquan, Gansu province, 64 of the largest wind turbines on land are being hoisted.In Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia, construction is in full swing on a 1.6 million-kilowatt wind power base, which, when completed by the end of this year, will provide more than 5 billion kilowatt hours of clean electricity to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region every year.In the Mu Us Desert, the largest single smart PHOTOVOLTAIC power project in China has just been completed with the first installed capacity of 30,000kW.In Yunnan, Dali, Lincang, Pu ‘er and other places along the Lancang River, the construction of scenic water storage multi-energy complementary bases has been accelerated comprehensively, and new energy projects relying on the construction of large-scale hydropower stations have been started one after another.At present, China is speeding up the construction of seven new energy bases on land, including the upper reaches of the Yellow River, hexi Corridor, Northern Hebei and Songliao, focusing on desert, gobi and desert areas.Overall planning to promote the development of sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi and southeast Tibet water scenery comprehensive base;Five major offshore wind power base clusters will be built in shandong Peninsula, Yangtze River Delta, Southern Fujian, eastern Guangdong and Beibu Gulf.Large-scale development and construction of renewable energy are being carried out at the same time as high-level consumption and utilization. A series of key energy science and technology projects are being carried out at an accelerated pace.In the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the world’s most advanced flexible DC back-to-back project has entered the system commissioning stage.Upon completion this year, the power grid in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will be properly partitioned, which will not only enhance the power supply guarantee capacity, but also promote the greater Bay Area to absorb and utilize more new energy.Just a few days ago, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration jointly issued the Opinions on Improving the Institutions, Mechanisms, Policies and Measures for Energy Green and Low-carbon Transition.According to the guideline, during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, an institutional framework for promoting green and low-carbon energy development will be basically established, and a relatively sound policy, standard, market and regulatory system will be put in place to accelerate green and low-carbon energy development in China.
