A green landscape not inferior to “A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains”

The Palace Museum has two long scrolls of green landscape that I like. One is a Panorama of Rivers and Mountains by wang Ximeng, a genius painter, and the other is Autumn Scenery of Rivers and Mountains by Zhao Boju, a great painter of the Southern Song Dynasty. Both of these paintings are from the Song Dynasty, which is the peak of Chinese painting, so the classic works are even more wonderful. Both paintings have “rivers and mountains”, and Zhao Boju’s characters are thousands of miles, so people have to associate the two paintings. However, the title of “A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains” is really too big, and the young painter added enough size and enough wonderful pictures, and then there is a lasting topic.By contrast, the more solid “Autumn Colors of Rivers and Mountains” is less well known.Autumn color is actually a misnomer, look closely, should be early spring blooming scene. This figure skilled technique, color exquisite, no “thousands of miles of Rivers and Mountains” of the young gas.”Autumn Colors of Rivers and Mountains” is far smaller in size than “A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains”, but its artistic achievement is no less than “A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains”.
